Knot Your Planner is a Washington D.C.-based wedding planning consultant seeking to break the mold of what it means to be a “wedding planner” in 2024. They turned to KP Creative Consulting for a comprehensive brand development experience.

Phase One:

Understanding the brand.

Research and Brand Identity Development

Before developing the visual identity of the Knot Your Planner brand, it was important to gain an understanding of the market position for wedding planners, specifically wedding consultants specializing in a different approach to the traditional wedding planning process.

  • Market Research: Conduct comprehensive research on the wedding industry to understand trends, target demographics, and competitors.

  • Brand Identity: Define a clear brand identity, including mission, vision, values, and unique value proposition. Develop a memorable logo, tagline, and overall brand personality that resonates with the target audience.

Phase Two:

Building a brand identitY.

Building a brand identity for Knot Your Planner relied on carefully defining what was important to the brand and owner through the research completed in Phase One.

  1. Define the Core Elements: Through defining the mission, vision, and values of the brand, we were able to use these three integral components as a roadmap to establish all brand elements.

  2. Develop the Visual Identity: We worked collaboratively through several rounds of iterations and drafts to design a memorable logo and brand guidelines that reflected the unique proposition of the brand.

  3. Craft the Brand Voice and Messaging: We developed a consistent brand voice that resonated with the target audience, building key messages to highlight what sets Knot Your Planner apart.

Phase 3:

Putting it all together.

After building an extensive understanding of the brand identity, vision, and values, we meticulously selected fonts, colors, and imagery styles that align with the brand’s identity, fostering a cohesive and visually appealing aesthetic.
