Brought to you by the creators of Cocoa•Isms, a brand that celebrates Black culture and identity through statement-driven apparel and goods, I was tasked with building custom social media templates that embody a maximalist, bold, and culture-driven aesthetic. With a focus on vibrant self-expression and cultural storytelling, the templates were designed to amplify the brand’s digital presence and engage their community. From concept development to final execution, KP Creative was there to ensure the designs aligned with the brand's core values and stood out in the digital space.
Phase one:
align on social media vision
Aligning on the brand vision for Cocoa Isms began with a deep dive into the existing brand guidelines, which provided a strong foundation for the project. The process began with reviewing the brand’s core values, messaging, and aesthetic, ensuring alignment with Cocoa Isms' celebration of Black culture and identity.
We then focused on using these established guidelines to elevate the Cocoa Isms story through social media. This involved developing a content strategy that highlighted key elements such as the brand’s cultural narrative, visual language, and messaging, tailored to engage their target audience.
With the brand vision clearly defined, we were able to create custom social media templates that amplified Cocoa Isms' unique voice, ensuring that every post reflected the bold, statement-driven essence of the brand.
phase two:
graphic design + template development
Phase 2 of the Cocoa Isms project focused on graphic design and template development, building on the brand vision established in Phase 1. With the foundation set, the next step was translating the existing brand guidelines into visually impactful, culture-driven social media templates. This involved designing bold, dynamic graphics that captured the essence of Cocoa Isms' celebration of Black culture and identity, while ensuring consistency and cohesiveness across all digital touchpoints.
A comprehensive content strategy was developed, including engaging posts, cultural stories, product highlights, and community-focused messaging. Each template was designed to resonate with the audience, ensuring every post felt fresh, vibrant, and aligned with the brand’s core values.
Continuous refinement and adaptation based on audience engagement and feedback ensured the templates remained relevant, fostering a strong connection with the Cocoa Isms community and amplifying the brand’s digital presence.
